Corrections and right of reply
If something here is wrong, out of date or missing your side, tell us. Anyone named on this site has the right to reply, and replies are published alongside the item.
How to ask for a correction
- Give the page address and quote the passage concerned.
- Explain what is wrong and what you believe is correct.
- Include a public document or published source that supports the correction, if you have one.
Right of reply
If you are named on this site, you can send a statement. We publish it on the relevant profile or case page under “Response”, in full or fairly summarised, with the date we received it. We do not need to agree with a reply to publish it.
What happens next
- We review the request against the sources.
- If we change an item, the change is made in the research data and the site is rebuilt, so the correction appears everywhere the item is shown.
- If a source label changes (for example to Disputed or Debunked), the page says so.
