Exit.al also reports that he is a defendant in a criminal trial in Italy (Avellino Court of Appeals) concerning a 2013 bus crash at Monteforte Irpino in which 40 people died, with charges described as abuse of power and failure to check and maintain barriers on the Acqualonga bridge. The Italian case is not an Albanian proceeding. No Albanian charge against him was found in the sources read.
